It’s just another dreadful Sunday, current temperature is 12 degrees with winter storm warnings all day today. Are there really people who enjoy this sort of weather? Someone really needs to check their heads.

In an attempt to make myself feel better I thought I would share my small but mighty haul from Brija Cosmetics. I have previously talked about the company here. The owner is a complete sweetheart to work with and I really appreciate her focus on creating vegan products.

Launch of Brija Cosmetics Harry Potter collection

The collection is live! Find it here…

First official post besides my introduction, let’s make this exciting, shall we?

I’m a  huge fan of indie beauty products and my new favorite brand, Brija Cosmetics is releasing a 12 piece collection of Harry Potter inspired makeup products.

The owner of Brija Cosmetics is Brianna, she’s a young lady with some serious skills and an awesome personality. Her company has a shop on Etsy as well as her own shop here. Brija products are especially great because they are 100% Vegan, Cruelty Free, Gluten Free, Dye Free and made from Organic Oils. Not only are the products non-toxic but the themes and collections that she creates are adorable, she has everything from One Tree Hill to Sherlock and even Downton Abbey. I’m sold!

Today she is launching the Harry Potter collection and she asked for her facebook fans to send in their descriptions for the characters.  She happened to fancy my entry which led to me creating all the descriptions for the 12 products as well as helping her name numerous products in the line.

There will be 10 eyeshadows, a powder highlighting product and a jelly! The shadows will be available in sample baggies (less than 1/4 tsp of product), 3g mini jars (1/4 tsp product in jar, no sifter, custom label artwork included if purchasing full collection), and 5g full size jars (3g product with sifter and custom label artwork). Mini jar collection will retail for $44 and the full size collection will be $70. Collection is not limited edition and will be permanent. Like I mentioned, if you buy the full mini collection the artwork will be included, if you buy mini jars separately the custom labels cost .15 cents.

The collection goes live at 3:15pm EST, so get your trigger fingers ready, soldier!

I will have another post this week with swatches and WPOTD from Brija of her Sherlock inspired eyeshadow duo, Unfortunate Souls lipstick, and a few extra’s that she threw into my order.

Fare thee well,

Fair Maiden

First post

Hello there maids and maidens, I thought I would write this post so that you could get to know me better. That way we won’t be strangers anymore!

To begin, my name is Kelly, I’m a wife, mother, student and makeup lover (obviously). I wanted to start this blog to share my adventures in life and to create another outlet to share my thoughts and ideas.

I’ve been married for 5 years to my incredible husband (Ace) and we have a 4 year old daughter (Amadora). We are currently transplants in the state of New York, originally from California, I just hate dislike living here with a passion.

I wanted to create this blog mainly out of my love for makeup because it’s really hard to find awesome products when you are practically transparent. I will be posting product reviews, swatches and random W.P.O.T.D (war paint of the day) pictures.

Let me know what else you are interested in reading about, ask and you shall receive.

Fare thee well,

Kelly
